The owner of this restaurant is ready to feed everyone!
Five years ago, a stray dog appeared at the front door of a small restaurant in Peru. The dog was very hungry. Ortiz, the restaurant owner and chef, decided to help the dog. The owner not only gave the animal leftovers – he prepared a personal dinner for the dog.
Thus began a wonderful tradition that melted dozens of human and canine hearts. The hungry dog came back the next evening. He was sitting shyly at the door of the restaurant.
Ortiz offered the dog a free dinner again – and it became a new tradition. Since then, the dog, no longer hungry, came every evening. Probably, all local dogs learned about the kindness and generosity of the restaurant owner, because new “guests” came to his door.
The cook tried to help each of the dogs, and each dog remained full and happy. “For me, they are the best guests,” Ortiz says. Someone comes every day and someone comes once, but all the stray dogs love this cook.
Restaurant guests approve of the man’s act. Many have joined the chef’s help and also contributed to the care of stray dogs. “Life is important – and this is the main truth that I can prove every day,” said the man.
It’s hard to calculate how many lives the chef of a small restaurant has saved in five years. Chef Ortiz makes the world a kinder place every day.
