At the first look, the fishermen thought they were rescuing a seal, but when they got closer, they saw a polar predator

Near the Labrador Peninsula a few miles off the Canadian coast, fishermen Cliff Russell, Mallory Harrigan and Allan Russell noticed something very unusual floating on a broken piece of ice. When they came closer they noticed a shaggy little creature. At the first look , it seemed to be a seal, but it turned out to be a polar fox.

Probably in search of food, the little fox ended up unhappily on a piece of ice that detached and floated in the cold waters of the sea!

“We gave her chips and crackers, but she wouldn’t have anything until she regained consciousness, at which point we fed her sausages.” Not the healthiest option for a predator, but still better than starving in Arctic cold.
